3 of 5 Loved it at first February 17, 2020
Reviewer: Rodney from MD United States
I loved the vest when I first got it even though it took over a month to arrive. I can overlook that if the product is good. I have had it for 10 days and a worn it for about 8 days at work in the jail doing nothing strenuous so far. It fits good and wears well. Today I noticed a tear in the armpit region on one side and a hole near there where some rings have popped. I wrote customer service and got a reply that I could get it fixed for $39.50 plus shipping. After the expense and the wait I expected more durability and better support for the product. What happened to the limited lifetime warranty?

5 of 5 Jewelry! April 19, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Coquitlam, BC Canada
I just got my vest and fits perfect.
I’m really impressed! I didn’t imagine that a...piece of metal can be smooth as silk.
It looks so good that I feel wearing it on street...well, without the sword. :-)
This is the best design and craftsmanship I’ve ever seen.  It is worth every penny, and much more.

5 of 5 Don't second-guess this armor November 28, 2016
Reviewer: Jofreidr from Maine
It's awesome. There's really no other way to put it. I'm 6'3 230 and pretty ruggedly built - broad shoulders, big frame, narrow around the waist, and this armor fits amazingly well (size L). I was honestly worried being as I'm not the target body type for a vast majority of clothing out there but the weight of the vest makes it longer than advertised and slim around the midsection as well.
I fully intend to make this my light-side armor and purchase another vest in L made out of blackened #150.
Shipping was ridiculously fast but then again they're based in the same region I live.
I should also mention that the translucency of the rings is less than in the image. Dark t-shirt underneath and it looks more substantial, like in the movies.. and less translucent like in the image above.
Also, you'll want to call in for questions. Their email based CS quality is.. questionable.
So what are you waiting for? This stuff is Awesome!

5 of 5 Excellent for LARP March 5, 2014
Reviewer: Trace Moriarty from Westminster, CO United States
I purchased this for use at LARP over the course of a weekend. This suit is so light that I literally forget that I am wearing it! I often will have to actually pat myself down when I leave my cabin to confirm that I remembered to put it on. I went from not being accustomed to wearing any armor at all, to wearing this for a whole weekend with no discomfort whatsoever. This stuff is amazing!

Regarding sizing, I had concerns about getting the right fit over a woman's body and its curves. I did extensive research and polling among friends into sizing before I placed my order. Friends offered great advice about being certian to measure around the widest part of my shoulders, chest, and hips, since chain will not stretch like cloth will where needed. I'm delighted with the size that I chose. I wear my suit over only 1 light layer of cloth, and under a sweater if need be during cold months (in Colorado). My body heat warms this suit quickly, and I have had no problems with the cold.

5 of 5 One of my best online purchases ever September 4, 2012
Reviewer: Juan Fernandez from France
I got my ringmesh vest a few days ago. It was delivered right in time as promised. The product is exactly as described in the website. It fits perfectly and it is also very light. After a few minutes you forget you are wearing it. It serves not only as a cool fashion piece of clothing but also offers a pretty good protection against stabbing. I'm truly happy with my new ringmesh vest, it is worth every penny of its price.

5 of 5 Exactly as promised May 14, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Knoxville, TN United States
This shirt is exactly as pictured.  I purchased this for a local LARP and rec'd the max bonus armor points for appearance and quality.  There are no issues with loose rings, or the color rubbing off.  Every ring is uniform in shape and size.

The weight is a big plus, it is light enough that I was able to fight in it all day. The size fit me perfectly coming down to my elbows, just past my belt line and the space left for my head made wearing it easy.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality costume, ren-faire, SCA, Amtgard, or other medieval oriented activities.

4 of 5 Good Stuff September 18, 2009
Reviewer: M.M. from MA, US
I just got this chain mail yesterday. It's super light and absolutely great looking. However, I'd suggest bumping it up a size notch (unless you are comfortable taking rings out of your new mail) if you are a larger guy. I'm 5'10" and about 230 pounds. It fits perfectly fine across the chest, around the belly (though I don't have much of a belly) but it starts getting tight in the armpits and the neck area. I've removed about 2 links from each armpit and it's getting better. I'll probably round out at about 4 links from each armpit and then a few in the neck. This is absolutely great mail and I'm so excited to have it, but if you consider yourself a burly guy, bump it up a size.

5 of 5 Ring Mesh Vest Review August 31, 2009
Reviewer: David Clark from Pollock, LA United States
If you are looking for historical accuracy with this piece, you'll be disappointed due to the ring size, vest style, ect. However, if you want something to wear under your clothes (or even over them) that will serve the dual functions of making a fashion statement and protecting one's self from stab/slash wounds from a knife, then this is perfect. Due to its cunstruction, this chainmail vest is ultra low profile, so much so that those who saw me in it couldn't tell I was wearing it until they touched me! (I was wearing a t-shirt over it). I have no idea how well it would withstand a hard, determined stab, but I would rather be wearing this than just cloth.
This 'ring-mesh' vest is very light weight (mine was a medium and weighed around 4lbs) and comfortable, so much so that I forgot several times that I was wearing it.
It is also quite flowing when handled and very unique to the touch (I found it akin to snake skin).
Overall, a great value.
